Oh Raven, I'm so sorry about your StepDad. I hope that you and your mom will find peace.
I had a StepDad that died several years ago. I was not as charitable to him as you are to yours. He was the exact opposite of my father, who died in '83. Mom & Ron were married for only 3 years when he dropped dead of a stomach anyorism (sp?).
He was a functioning alcoholic who spoiled every family gathering and created a rift between my mom & me that still hasn't healed. I give you a lot of credit for being able to accept your Step.

I will also make a boat as well, as every little bit helps. I really do appreicate all of your thoughts guys, as I really didn't think I would be upset over this, but it turns out that is not the case. I have seen some horrible things happen to my mother and this is the one of the worst things to have ever happened to her so I am worried about her so much plus I truley am upset at his passing, I mean I figured I would be upset, but not to the extent I am. I don't know if it is just because I am so sad for my mother or what. But I wrote the letter and burned it and I felt so much better.
As for the afterlife, I can only hope there is because the thought that once you die there is nothing else, just absolute nothing is something that I cannot even comprehend. However, what do the dead animals contribute to the earth that we do not?
